Beginners Trading Errors

Today we will continue to analyze the critical mistakes made by beginners in the Forex market. From the article, you will learn what you do not need to do to become a successful and self-confident trader.

Be sure to read the first portion of the errors described in the first part of the article linked below. I won’t procrastinate. Let’s get started.

News trading

beginners

As you know, there are two types of traders, one makes trading decisions based on technical analysis of charts, and the other uses fundamental analysis (economic news, macroeconomic indicators).

It is much more difficult for a trader who uses only fundamental analysis in his work to make money, since when macroeconomic indicators are released, the market behaves unpredictably, a real price rally.

The price moves and swings from side to side so fast that while your order is being processed by the broker, you will receive a re-quote or, worse, price slippage.

Trading on the economic calendar is a deposit suicide, more suitable for those traders who do not have enough thrills.

But seriously, traders working on fundamental analysis, as a rule, have an education in economics and finance, and naturally have experience in this area.

If you are an economist by education and with a long experience in the field of the global economy, then it makes no sense for me to teach you. You yourself know what you are doing, and for the rest, I do not recommend trading according to the economic calendar.

At the time of the release of the news, the price becomes very volatile, which makes it impossible to smoothly enter the market and exit it. In addition, most of the market participants have probably already reacted to the news before you had time to click on “Buy or Sell.”

There is no trading plan, and if there is, they don’t stick to it.

Before you start trading with real money, you must develop your strategy with a clear set of rules and money management.

The next thing you should do is to make a trading plan for the upcoming trading day or week. Read the article “Easy Forex strategies to organize your work,” in which I focused on drawing up a plan.

Often, the problem for a beginner trader is not that the plan is wrong, but not wanting to stick to it. You draw up a plan in an emotionally calm state with sober thoughts and weigh everything, but sometimes you have to execute it under strong emotional stress.

The trading plan says that now you need to take profit, but the toad is choking you. You want to survive more from the market. As a result, the price reverses and you are in the red.

Conversely, you refuse to admit that you made a mistake with entering the market. You do not want to put up with losses. In the hope that the price will turn in your direction, you move the stop and incur even more losses than originally planned.

Let’s be honest, each of us has been in such situations. It is a serious test of discipline to strictly follow a trading plan. If you cannot pull yourself together, you will always have negative statistics.

The market does not forgive moments of weakness. If you show it, it will tear you apart both emotionally and financially, and you will lose all the money you have earned! To become a successful trader, you must be disciplined and always stick to your trading plan. Why the hell did you make it up then? Discipline is the key to success in the Forex market!

Make no attempt to learn from their errors

beginners

Beginners establish a stance first, then ponder and inquire. You can appreciate their elation. This is the first time since the initial deposit has been placed on the market.

I recall well my first deposit: I lost $135 in an instant and had no idea how it occurred. And I’m certain that every trader has had a similar first experience.

At this point, you decide, “I need to understand a little bit more about the Forex market,” and you begin studying resources on the subject.

This is admirable, but one must bear in mind that the market is dynamic, that textbooks seldom include similar scenarios, and that the market does not always respond according to the scenario.

Avoid becoming bogged down in theory; instead, engage in real-world trading.

Real trading experience is gained via actual trading. Regardless of how much time you spend training and honing your abilities on demo accounts, even if it is for a few years, you will not become an expert trader. Experience is gained via actual trading.

Convert all of your errors into a learning experience for the future.

If the theory indicates that it is a terrible idea, but you see the effect, you will be confronted with a stop loss and a margin call.

You realize that you cannot continue in this manner, so why do you continue to tread on the same rake after a while?

Utilize your errors as a springboard to achievement.

Traders who do not learn from their failures are either treating trading like gambling (they want to become wealthy soon), or they are in such bad financial shape that they are compelled to take such risks, or their heads are not in order.

Accept failure and do not let it discourage you.

“A bad outcome is also a result,” as they say.

It is important to learn from your mistakes if you want to become a good trader. Utilize your errors as a springboard for progress. As I already said, I will reiterate the excellent adage, “Failure is a necessary part of success.” Additionally, do not be frightened to exchange real money. Only real-world experience can teach you what the books do not.

Do not use pending orders

beginners

Pending orders are classified as “halt” or “limit” orders. In summary, “stop” orders (Buy Stop, Sell Stop) are used in the event of a breakout, while “limit” orders (Buy Limit, Sell Limit) are used in the event of a price rollback. The article “Pending Orders on Forex” goes into much depth.

Trading using pending orders is the optimal method of market interaction.

Make a choice and set it aside. There is no need to sit in front of a monitor and wait for the market to reach the level at which you want to join. Automatic execution of the pending order. However, novices often overlook pending orders.

There are no disadvantages to using pending orders. To begin, there are no negative feelings that novices are incapable of dealing with at the moment.

Trading’s psychological component has little impact on decision-making. Second, a significant amount of time is freed up. You are not tethered to the monitor; you may continue living your life normally.

Permitted orders are the best helpers for a trader. They allow you to customize your trading as you wish. Orders will only be processed under certain conditions set by you in advance. Do not miss this opportunity.

And in the end,

The last item for today is aimed at new traders who do not want to make an effort to understand and analyze the market. They want to sit back and let someone else make trading decisions for them. I’m talking about those who are chasing magic advisors, buying signals, etc.

The pursuit of such products is a dead-end for future traders; they rarely give good results. Sooner or later, you will lose your deposit, and given that you do not understand anything in trading, this will happen much faster.

To become a successful trader, you must take your work seriously and not get too caught up in the clouds. Do not look for an easy way out; there is none, trust me. You need to remove all greedy thoughts from your head and focus on trading on your own.

That’s all for today. I hope that you have learned a lot from my articles and that you will definitely take everything into account in trading and, of course, become a successful trader. Join our Telegram channel for market updates. Good luck with your trading!
